teal splash

Splash! Thrown in and still floating!

They are made out of White Pine, painted in oil paints, hollowed out, and are self-righting(in other words, if you throw them out, they automatically turn up to float).

Decorative Birds

Also, from time to time, I will have some decorative pieces for sale that are original, one of a kind. Contact me via email at kerry@thebirdcarver.com

Drake Woodduck 1 This Drake Woodduck is currently available for sale. It was featured this last fall and winter in the Dixon Museums show titled, “The Call of the Wild”, a history of waterfowl hunting on the Mississippi Flyway. It is carved out of Tupelo Gum and painted with oil paints. Email Kerry if interested.

Knives

I have designed a knife that fits in my hand that I use for carving. As much as I possibly can, I will use a knife to do the work. Why? Because I like to feel what my art piece is becoming. Just like a clay artist feels the work with their hands, I feel my work with a knife. Now I will use some electric tools from time to time, but I like to use a knife for as long as I possibly can. So, listed on my website are some knives for sale. They take about 3 months to make so if you are interested, let me know. Below are a few pictures of them.
